A native of Long Island, NY, Capt. Pete Koprowski commissioned as an intelligence officer from the United States Naval Academy (USNA) with the class of 1997. Since graduation, Capt. Koprowski has served in operational and shore assignments in both United States and overseas locations.
Capt. Koprowski’s operational assignments include Carrier Air Wing Two aboard USS Constellation (CV-64), and assignments supporting both Navy and Joint Special Operations forces, holding several positions within Intelligence, Planning, and Interagency Liaison directorates. During these assignments, Capt. Koprowski deployed in support of several named and global combat operations.
Capt. Koprowski’s shore assignments include tours at the Joint Intelligence Center Pacific, Commander, Pacific Fleet, Navy Information Forces and Navy Expeditionary Combat Command. He has also served at Commander Navy Reserve Forces (CNRFC), where he was selected as the Director of the Combined Joint Intelligence Operations Center –Afghanistan, serving in forward locations in support of Operation Resolute Support. Most recently, he completed a tour as Commanding Officer of the Office of Naval Intelligence’s Kennedy Maritime Analysis Center.

Capt. Koprowski holds a bachelor’s degree in Oceanography from USNA and a master’s degree in Operations Research from the Naval Post Graduate School. His awards include the Navy Intelligence Community’s Layton Award for Leadership, the Navy Intelligence Professional’s award for leadership, and multiple personal and unit awards.
